Police Dog Bites

On behalf of Peterson, Berk & Cross, S.C.

Each year, thousands of Americans, including bystanders, police officers and children are bitten by police dogs.

This report entails an examination of 150 serious police dog bite cases that occurred in the United States from 2010-2020. Three of these cases ended fatally. The report found that the most common target of police dog bites are men, as well as that many victims of dog bites are individuals who “don’t have a weapon, are not accused of violent crimes or aren’t suspects at all.”

If you or a loved one has suffered harm and wishes to file a dog bite claim, contact Donahue & Walsh P.C.
