Peterson, Berk & Cross Intern Spotlight

On behalf of Peterson, Berk & Cross, S.C.

Nathan Wendt started his internship at Peterson, Berk & Cross, S.C.’s Appleton office in 2020. His interest in the legal field was inspired by his aunt, who has been a family law attorney and Guardian ad Litem for many years. Nathan’s parents divorced when he was young, and he felt disappointed with how the situation was handled by the Guardian ad Litem appointed to the case. Seeing his aunt build relationships with children while they’re going through traumatic experiences, showed him that family law disputes can be done in a fair and compassionate way, where everyone feels heard.

Nathan is a 2019 graduate of Berlin Senior High School, where he loved playing alto saxophone in the marching, concert and jazz bands. He was also a captain of the Berlin High School Indians swim team.

In his free time, Nathan enjoys ultimate frisbee and is proud to have competed in, and won, some local tournaments. He loves to drive, travel and hike in the mountains. One day he would like to live in the mountains, surrounded by beautiful views.

During his time with the firm, Nathan has taken on many different tasks. He is skilled in adapting and learning how to manage the projects that are assigned to him. We have been pleased with the work he has done to assist us in transitioning to a new case management software for the firm

Nathan currently resides in the Fox Cities area. He plans to begin a new journey by joining the U.S. Airforce in the future.
