Wisconsin construction worker dies at Milwaukee project site

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation called the death of a 33-year-old man a rare incident when he was killed by machinery at the site of the Zoo Interchange project in Milwaukee. The work accident happened near 91st Street on the westbound side of Interstate 94.

NHTSA announce plan to improve safety for elderly drivers

Wisconsin drivers may be interested to learn that the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, or NHTSA, announced on Dec. 8 a plan that will help elderly drivers be safer while driving. According to the report, elderly drivers are actually the safest group that uses national roadways but, as the number of elderly drivers increases, they also are becoming more at risk for injuries and death.

Wisconsin man dies when arguing parties take to the road

A 19-year-old Wisconsin man was killed and a teenager was injured when a verbal argument led to a fatal auto crash, according to authorities. Police say the responsible party is in custody, and charges of hit-and-run causing death and homicide by negligent operation have been recommended. They also say alcohol and drugs were factors in the incident.

Deaths and injuries in Wisconsin car accident

Two women were traveling east on State Highway 16 in a black Nissan when their car left the road and crossed over the median of the highway where they ran into an oncoming vehicle. The accident occurred in Waukesha County on Sept. 9. Both the women in the Nissan died as a result of the crash.

Crash critically injures Wisconsin man

On August 7, 2013, a 61-year-old man from Tomah, Wisconsin, was critically injured after running a stop sign in his minivan and crashing into the side of a refrigerated truck. The 23-year-old driver of the truck did not suffer life-threatening injuries and was treated at St. Mary's Hospital, while the critically injured driver was evacuated by helicopter to an undisclosed Madison hospital following the collision.

Wisconsin woman dies in assisted living center

The mother of a woman who died in a Wisconsin assisted living center is suing the group home for damages. The woman's daughter was 49-years-old and was mildly mentally disabled, developmentally disabled and had a schizoaffective disorder due to brain damage from being in the birth canal too long. Her death was caused by choking on a bagel.

Roller coaster accident claims woman's life

Visitors of Wisconsin amusement parks often spend days, weeks, and sometimes, hours planning their trip. However, they rarely prepare for catastrophic situations, such as injuries or even wrongful death. An investigation is underway following a deadly accident that occurred July 19 at a Six Flags amusement park located in Texas.

One person injured in Wisconsin car accident

A Milwaukee man is facing DUI charges following a two-car accident that sent the other driver to the hospital. He had a 14-year-old passenger with him at the time of the auto accident. The 14-year-old was not injured; the three children in the other car were not reported to have suffered any injuries either.
