Family Law Paralegal in Green Bay

Peterson, Berk & Cross, S.C. is hiring a full-time family law paralegal to assist an experienced family law attorney in our Green Bay office.

Our potential new paralegal must possess exceptional verbal communication and telephone skills.  This person must have a pleasant, professional demeanor with the ability to communicate with clients, attorneys, court staff, and the public, while working on clerical and administrative tasks. Good typing skills and strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word and Excel, in particular) are necessary.  This individual must be able to work 40 hours per week in the office during our normal business hours to begin promptly at 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., with lunch breaks.

Job duties may include:

  • Answering the telephone and taking messages;
  • Communicating with potential and current clients;
  • Filing pleadings through the court electronic filing programs;
  • Gathering and organizing documentation, including financial information and other relevant materials;
  • Scanning and photocopying paperwork;
  • Calendar coordination, including scheduling events and monitoring deadlines;
  • Drafting letters and court documents; and
  • Assisting the attorney in trials when needed.

Qualifications:

  • Some experience in office setting, preferably in a clerical role
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Outstanding customer service skills
  • Good computer skills, including typing, use of the internet and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to operate general office equipment
  • Law office experience is a plus, but not necessary
