Employee Spotlight: Jessica Fortune

On behalf of Peterson, Berk & Cross, S.C.

Jessica Fortune started with Peterson, Berk & Cross, S.C. as a paralegal intern. After graduation from Fox Valley Technical College with an associate degree in paralegal studies, she was hired as the firm’s legal assistant and receptionist in 2020.

Jessica was drawn to paralegal studies because of her interest in the justice system and the flexibility to work in different areas of law and different industries as she continues her education. She is currently enrolled at the University of Wisconsin- Green Bay to secure a degree in organizational leadership.

As a mother of three, nothing makes her smile more than hearing her kids laughing and having a good time together. One of her favorite recent memories was parasailing with her daughter, over Lake Erie.

When not at work, Jessica enjoys seeing live music, going out to eat, spending time with her children and traveling. Last year she took a life-changing trip to Mexico for her birthday. She was fascinated by the country and its culture, and said it was eye-opening to see how the pandemic had impacted the people of Mexico.

The Peterson, Berk & Cross, S.C. team is better for having Jessica as the firm’s legal assistant and receptionist. Jessica is helpful and warm when speaking clients. She never hesitates to take on new tasks and is happy to pitch in whenever an extra hand is needed.
