Deaths And Injuries In Wisconsin Car Accident

On behalf of Peterson, Berk & Cross, S.C.

Two women were traveling east on State Highway 16 in a black Nissan when their car left the road and crossed over the median of the highway where they ran into an oncoming vehicle. The accident occurred in Waukesha County on Sept. 9. Both the women in the Nissan died as a result of the crash.

The Nissan crashed into the vehicle driven by a New Berlin resident who was injured and transported to Froedtert Hospital. He had two children in his vehicle with him, and both were injured in the accident. They were transported to Children’s Hospital. At last report, the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department said that the accident was still under investigation and the condition of the driver and two children are unknown.

Although the woman who was driving the car that crossed the median and hit him died in the accident, the injured driver of the second vehicle may still have legal options to pursue compensation paid for damages. The victim could still choose to file claims against her estate. These could be used to pay for incurred hospital bills and other medical expenses. Other damages could include lost wages and pain and suffering.

In these circumstances, a lawyer may be able to perform an accident investigation in order to determine liability. A lawyer may also be able to help victims who have sustained serious injuries in car collisions and other auto accidents to create a case and file claims against distracted or negligent drivers.
