Child Carseat Laws in Wisconsin

On behalf of Peterson, Berk & Cross, S.C.

When it comes to ensuring children are seated safely in child seats, what does Wisconsin law require?

Requirements under Wisconsin law include:

-“Babies less than 1 year old, or less than 20 lbs. must be in a rear-facing child seat in the back seat”

-“If at least one year old and 20 pounds, but less than four years old or less than 40 pounds, must be in a forward- or rear-facing child seat in the back seat”

If you get into a car accident due to another’s negligence and your child is injured, contact Peterson, Berk & Cross, S.C. We will help you pursue maximum compensation for any injuries/damages incurred.
