PBC Atty. Michael Brown Starts Term As Chair of Bar’s IRR Section

PBC Attorney Michael Brown became Board Chair of the Wisconsin State Bar’s Individual Rights & Responsibilities Section (IRR), effective July 1, 2010, for the term ending June 30, 2011.   IRR had its first Board meeting on July 30, 2010.

IRR’s members include attorneys with interests in civil liberties and constitutional rights. The section presents various programs, publishes a newsletter and initiates and reviews legislative proposals in areas of concern to members.

PBC Atty. Avi Berk Named As Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America

PBC Attorney Avi Berk has been named as a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America (LCA).

The LCA is an invitation- only trial lawyer honorary society, with recognition of excellence among litigation and trial counsel. Membership is limited to less than one-half of one percent of American lawyers, and LCA expects only 68 lawyers, judges and law professors in Wisconsin will be accepted as Fellows.

PBC Attorney Avi Berk has been named for membership in the American Trial Lawyers Association.

The American Trial Lawyers Association is a national organization composed of the Top 100 Trial Lawyers from each state. Membership is obtained through special invitation and is extended only to those attorneys who exemplify superior qualifications, leadership, reputation, influence, stature, and profile as trial lawyers.
