Jeanie Feavel: Jeanie has over 25 years of experience in personal injury litigation and joined Peterson, Berk & Cross, S.C., as a personal injury paralegal for attorney Avi Berk in June 2004. She graduated from UW-Stevens Point with a degree in communications. She is currently a member of the Wisconsin Association for Justice and attends its annual seminars. In her free time, Jeanie enjoys reading, traveling and baking treats for the office.


Rebecca Hamann: Rebecca joined the firm as a receptionist in 2014. She graduated from Northeast Wisconsin Technical College with an associate degree in paralegal studies. Rebecca enjoys reading, cooking and spending time with her family and friends.


Julie Kaepernick: Julie is the senior employee in the firm having started as a legal secretary in 1981. She is a graduate of Fox Valley Lutheran High School and attended the secretarial science program at Fox Valley Technical Institute. Over her tenure with the firm, she has worked in virtually all areas of trial law. For many years, Julie has served as the office manager. She also coordinates the activities of the personal injury section in all our offices. Julie enjoys reading, traveling and working on her house.


Jill Parsons: Jill joined Peterson, Berk & Cross, S.C., as a receptionist in 2013. She is a graduate of Fox Valley Lutheran High School and has over 10 years of reception experience. Jill lives in Appleton with her husband and three children. In her free time, Jill enjoys reading, spending time with family and friends, and watching the Packers.


Meghan Petters: Meghan has been with the family law section of Peterson, Berk & Cross, S.C., since 2004. She is a University of Wisconsin-Green Bay graduate with a major in Communication Processes. Meghan serves as the social media coordinator for the firm and manages all of the firm's social media sites. Meghan currently resides in the Appleton area with her husband and daughters. Outside of work Meghan enjoys music and the arts, movies, baking, traveling, writing and spending time with family and friends.


Heather Pluger: Heather joined the firm as a family law paralegal to Adam Bernander in 2016. She graduated from Northeast Wisconsin Technical College with an associate degree in Paralegal Studies and has been an active member of the Bay Area Association of Legal Professionals since 2008. Formerly from the Appleton area, Heather currently resides in Green Bay with her husband. During her free time she enjoys reading, quilting and has a love of animals and nature.


Kathleen Welhouse: Kathleen joined the firm as a paralegal to attorney Amy Risseeuw in 2005. She grew up in Kaukauna on a dairy farm and, after graduating from St. Norbert College with a degree in art education, taught art in Kimberly for many years. She then moved to Nebraska and Missouri before returning to the Fox Cities in 2003. She earned her paralegal certificate at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College in Green Bay. She lives in Appleton and spends her free time reading and gardening. Kathleen has a son who lives and works in Chicago.


Heidi Widi: Heidi has been attorney John Peterson's paralegal since 2000. Heidi joined the firm within a week of her graduation from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh where her major was criminal justice. She has continued to supplement her education by attending various seminars on topics such as federal court procedure and trial preparation. Heidi is a member of the Wisconsin Association for Justice. Outside of work, Heidi enjoys being active and is an avid runner. Heidi has two young sons and loves being a mom.
